Letter from the Editor: A Year in Review

Dear iEthereans,

Happy New Year! As we bid farewell to 2024 and step into 2025, we find ourselves on the cusp of a remarkable transition. This past year has been one of exploration, resilience, and growth for the iEthereum community. It has been a year defined by venturing beyond the known—delving into uncharted territories of technology, philosophy, and collective ambition. With the conclusion of 2024 we not only close this chapter but also set the stage for an era of boundless potential in 2025.

“The Beyond” serves as a metaphor for our journey with iEthereum. It encapsulates the courage to challenge conventions, the determination to redefine value, and the wisdom to adapt and evolve. Like intrepid explorers navigating a vast and mysterious expanse, we have embraced the ethos of pushing further, questioning deeper, and innovating fearlessly.

This letter is a huge thank you to the ongoing and growing support to to begin a conversation about the most mysterious and intriguing cryptocurrency on the market today. It is not just a retrospective glance at the data and developments; it is a mirror reflecting the spirit of this community. Each milestone achieved, each token transferred, and each conversation sparked serves as a testament to our shared vision: a world where technology acts as a bridge between humanity and possibility, rather than a barrier.

2024 Highlights in Review

While our monthly and quarterly iEthereum Digital Commodity Index Reports provide extensive data, certain key insights from this year stand out:

1. iEthereum as a Store of Value

iEthereum has shown its potential as an emerging store of value, standing out even when compared to stalwarts like Bitcoin. On decentralized exchanges, the price remained steady, fluctuating between $0.018 and $0.022 throughout the year. Meanwhile, on centralized exchanges, the token experienced a significant surge, climbing from $0.018 to nearly $0.18—a substantial achievement reflected in its current CoinMarketCap ranking.

2. Market Performance Against Ethereum

Despite the positive overall trends, iEthereum saw a slight dip in its market performance relative to Ethereum. Over the course of the year, its market capitalization decreased by approximately 20 ETH (equivalent to around $60,000). This data highlights areas for a potential trend reversal for 2025.

3. Wallet Growth and Transaction Stability

The number of wallet addresses grew modestly but steadily, increasing from 4,510 to 4,574. Total lifetime transactions reached 33,540, with 1,861 new transactions added this year. This consistent progress underscores the reliability of the iEthereum network, which has maintained flawless uptime throughout the year. We iEthereans, although we can appreciate price volatility to the upside, we are in it for the simplicity and long haul as a true P2P, immutable transfer technology.

4. Community Momentum

Perhaps the most inspiring metric of the year has been the growth of our iEthereum Advocacy Trust community. At the start of 2024, we had just 19 subscribers. By the year’s end, that number had grown nearly tenfold, reaching 181 active readers and subscribers. A 852% increase. This growth reflects not only our efforts but also the increasing curiosity and enthusiasm surrounding iEthereum as a technology and a movement. We are not the Founders of iEthereum. We have not direct or official affiliations to the open source project. We are solely independent and are intrigued. Therefore, we are attempting to start a conversation surrounding.

The Journey “Beyond”

“The Beyond” is more than just a symbolic concept; it represents the essence of our collective journey. This year has been about challenging conventions, reimagining possibilities, and fostering resilience in the face of uncertainty. As explorers of this new frontier, we have embodied the spirit of questioning deeper and innovating fearlessly.

This “Letter” is a narrative that captures the soul of our community. Every milestone, transaction, and dialogue has been a step toward realizing our shared vision: a future where technology is harnessed for meaningful, human-centered progress while providing an opportunity for you and your family.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we step into 2025, “The Beyond” evolves into a call to action. It challenges us to shape the future we envision by continuing to uphold the principles of opportunity, fair distribution, simplicity, transparency, and interoperability. It also reminds us to remain steadfast in safeguarding the foundational tenets of cryptocurrency: immutability, fairness, and freedom.

Our mission for the coming year is to ensure that iEthereum remains not just a technological innovation but a symbol of meaningful progress. This involves not only advancing the iEthereum token but also strengthening the conversations and connections that underpin our community. Though we are not the founders of iEthereum, we take pride in being its advocates, championing its potential to reshape how we interact with technology and each other.

Expanding Our Vision

One of the central themes for 2025 will be “expansion”—expanding our reach, our understanding, and our impact. This includes:

• Data and Analysis: Building on the foundations of our reports to deliver deeper insights and more comprehensive analysis.

• Community Engagement: Continuing to grow our subscriber base and fostering meaningful discussions within the iEthereum Advocacy Trust.

• Innovation: Exploring new use cases for iEthereum, particularly in decentralized finance (DeFi) and real-world applications.

A Toast to 2024—and to 2025

As we reflect on 2024, it is clear that this year has been one of steady progress. It was a year where the seeds of future success were sown. The challenges we faced were met with determination, and the achievements we celebrated were made possible by the collective efforts of our community.

Consider this our 1st Annual iEthereum Digital Commodity Report that not only represents not just the culmination of a year’s work but the beginning of a new chapter and my promise to expand this conversation and bring value to the iEthereum ecosystem. This year in review summary is our minimal viable product, a starting point from which we will continue to grow and evolve into a very sought after institutional grade report in the years to come.
