Open Letter in Support of Roger Ver

The iEthereum Advocacy Trust Stands with the People and Against an Unjust, Corrupt Government

Merry Christmas! Tis the season to be grateful. We are grateful that we have this platform to speak our minds, and truth to power.

At the iEthereum Advocacy Trust, our mission has always been clear: to advocate for openness, transparency, and fairness, not only for iEthereum but for the entire cryptocurrency community. Even if this means to speak out against the parrots and what is not popular to speak. Our commitment to these principles transcends the iEthereum token itself, extending to our steadfast support of justice and freedom for all those who stand for these ideals.

Over the years, we’ve fought for the rights of those whose voices have been suppressed, whether it’s been for Richard Heart, Julian Assange’s fight for Free Speech, supporting figures like Donald Trump and Elon Musk in their right to express themselves freely, or now, standing in solidarity with Roger Ver. Today, we write this open letter as a call to action—an urgent plea to the public to recognize and fight the injustice facing Roger Ver, one of the most important pioneers in the cryptocurrency space.

The Visionary: Roger Ver

Roger Ver, often referred to as “Bitcoin Jesus,” is a name synonymous with the early days of Bitcoin and the rise of decentralized finance. He was not just an investor or early adopter of Bitcoin—he was a tireless advocate for the very principles that underpin the cryptocurrency movement. He recognized the potential for Bitcoin to revolutionize global finance and economic freedom, long before it became a mainstream phenomenon. Roger championed Bitcoin as a tool to empower individuals and provide financial autonomy, and his efforts helped lay the groundwork for the decentralized revolution we see today.

But now, Roger Ver faces a battle that threatens to erase his life’s work. The U.S. government has charged him with a series of baseless offenses, including mail fraud, tax evasion, and false filings. These charges, which could result in a sentence of up to 109 years in prison, are an attack not only on Roger himself but on the very ideals he has fought for his entire life. And each and every one of you reading this. If they can get away with this, they can get away with us. Roger’s outspoken advocacy for economic freedom, decentralized systems, and free markets has made him a target of powerful corporate and government interests that seek to suppress the very forces he has spent decades promoting.

The iEthereum Connection: Unwavering Principles of Freedom

iEthereum stands for many of the same principles that Roger Ver has long fought for: openness, fairness, decentralization, and the protection of individual sovereignty. The philosophy behind iEthereum is not just to build a decentralized token but to create a community and system that upholds the fundamental rights of the individual, free from the interference of centralized powers. In much the same way, Roger Ver has worked tirelessly to educate the world about the potential of cryptocurrency and to ensure that economic freedom remains in the hands of the people, not corporate giants or government entities.

Roger's early involvement in Bitcoin mirrors the spirit of iEthereum's launch—both projects began with a vision to empower individuals and provide fair and equal access to economic opportunities. Just as iEthereum is distributed in a fair and open manner to all, Roger Ver worked in the early days of Bitcoin to distribute knowledge, resources, and coins to promote decentralized finance. His commitment to these ideals made him a target for both the traditional financial system and the U.S. government.

It is alarming to see how the Bitcoin community, once united in its fight for decentralization and economic freedom, has become fragmented. Many “maximalists” now focus narrowly on their vision of Bitcoin, often ignoring or outright supporting the persecution of individuals like Roger Ver and Craig Wright, whose work and advocacy laid the foundation for the very systems they now cherish. The hypocrisy is staggering. Roger, a man who has consistently fought for freedom, fairness, opportunity and transparency, is being silenced by the same forces that are undermining the very values we all hold dear.

The Unjust Persecution

Roger Ver’s persecution by the U.S. government is not an isolated case; it is part of a larger pattern of criminalizing free thinkers, innovators, and those who challenge the existing power structures. The charges against Roger are not just an attempt to punish him for his past actions but a clear warning to others who might dare to speak out or innovate against the established order. These charges are baseless and politically motivated, and they are designed to intimidate those who challenge centralized financial systems and promote alternative forms of economic freedom.

In his book Hijacking Bitcoin, Roger Ver reveals the forces behind the hijacking of Bitcoin’s original promise of economic freedom. He highlights how corporate interests and centralized control have gradually taken over the original vision of Bitcoin, shifting its direction from a decentralized financial system to one controlled by a few powerful players. Roger’s unwavering commitment to the ideals of self-sovereignty and decentralization is what makes him a target of such malicious prosecution.

A Call to Action: Stand with Roger Ver

Now, more than ever, it is crucial for the cryptocurrency community to unite and stand in solidarity with Roger Ver. The fight for Roger is not just a fight for one individual—it is a fight for the future of cryptocurrency, economic freedom, and free speech itself. If we allow the U.S. government to silence Roger Ver, we set a dangerous precedent that will harm the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem.

We urge all members of the cryptocurrency community—whether you support Bitcoin, iEthereum, or any other project—to come together in this critical moment. The persecution of Roger Ver is an attack on the very principles of freedom and decentralization that cryptocurrency was created to promote. We cannot allow this attack to go unchecked.

Conclusion

Roger is facing up to 109 years in prison for US tax evasion even though he renounced his citizenship a decade ago. The persecution of Roger Ver is a direct attack on the values of fairness, transparency, and decentralization that the cryptocurrency community holds dear. iEthereum, like Roger Ver, was founded on the belief that individuals should have control over their financial futures, and that no one should be punished for advocating for freedom. We cannot allow the forces of centralization to continue to suppress the voices of those who fight for a better future.

We stand with Roger Ver, and we ask you to join us in defending justice, freedom, and the ideals that have made cryptocurrency a force for change. Stand up against this injustice. Sign the petition. Share Roger's story. Let’s ensure that we continue to build a future where innovation, free speech, and economic freedom are protected for all.
